 Since the start of last season, Jamie Vardy has scored 11 Premier League goals against the 'big six' - five more than any other player. On this day in 2009, Jimmy Bullard scored an 82nd-minute penalty to earn Hull City a precious point and ensure a seventh successive top-flight draw for Manchester City. The game ended 1-1 as Bullard celebrated his equaliser by mocking Phil Brown's team talk at Eastlands.

On this day in 2011, former Leeds United, Newcastle United, Everton, Bolton Wanderers, Sheffield United and Welsh midfielder Gary Andrew Speed was found dead at the garage of his home by his wife Louise. It was reported that he committed suicide.  He was aged 42.… RIP MR SPEED

 On this day in 2006, Arsenal's poor record at Bolton Wanderers continued as a brace from Nicolas Anelka helped consign them to defeat. Abdoulaye Faye headed Bolton ahead before team-mate Kevin Davies escaped a red card for pushing Emmanuel Eboue. Anelka powered in a 25-yard screamer against his ex-club, who then pulled one back with a Gilberto Silva header. Anelka's double was his first two goals for Bolton.

On this day in 2016, Wayne Rooney became Manchester United's record European goalscorer as they beat Feyenoord 4-0 to keep their Europa League fate in their hands. The Red Devils captain scored his 39th European goal for the club when he clipped the ball over Brad Jones from Zlatan Ibrahimovic's perfect through ball - with Feyenoord appealing unsuccessfully for offside.

ROBINHO SENT BEHIND BARS

Brazilian footballer Robson de Souza commonly known as Robinho has been sentenced to nine years in prison for taking part in the gang rape of a woman in Milan in 2013. An Italian court ruled the 33-year-old and five other Brazilians assaulted the Albanian woman, who was 22, after plying her with alcohol in a nightclub. The forward, who left AC Milan in 2015 after five years, was not in court but pleaded not guilty via his lawyer. The sentence will be put on hold until the appeals process is completed. Robinho, capped 100 times by his country, spent two years at Manchester City and currently plays for Atletico Mineiro in Brazil.
