Everton's 5-1 loss to Atalanta is the heaviest home defeat suffered by an English side in the Europa League/UEFA Cup since Nottingham Forest in March 1996 (1-5 v Bayern Munich in the UEFA Cup). The Toffees have already lost more games in all competitions at Goodison Park this season as they did in the whole of 2016/2017 (4). 
However, Sandro Ramirez has now scored his first competitive goal for Everton, on what is his 13th appearance for the club in all competitions. 

A narrow 1-0 loss to German side FC Cologne is the 11th away game that Arsenal have lost in all competitions in 2017 – their most in a calendar year since 2010 (also 11). The Gunners have also conceded three penalties in their last five away games in all competitions (vs Watford, Manchester City and FC Koln). 

 Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Mason Mount (on loan from Chelsea) created eight scoring chances vs Lazio, more than any other teenager ever did in a single game in Europa League history.

On This Day In 2007, Cristiano Ronaldo's late strike(a free-kick) gave Manchester United a 2-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon(Ronaldo's former club)  to ensure they finish top of Group F in the UEFA Champions League. On This Day In 2008, Filippo Inzaghi struck a late equaliser to break Portsmouth's hearts and send AC Milan into the UEFA Cup's last 32. Ronaldinho was also on target for Milan while Younes Kaboul and Nwankwo Kanu where all on target for the Tony Adam side. The game ended 2-2. On This Day In 2011, Gary Andrew Speed's  body was found dead in the garage of his home by his wife Louise. Although the facts were not fully established, it was reported that Speed had died by suicide. It could be recalled that Speed played for the likes of Leeds United, Newcastle United, Everton, Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield United.
