 Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Junior has been involved in 15 goals (seven goals, eight assists) in only six Champions League matches against Celtic, averaging a goal involvement every 35 minutes.
After scoring a double in an eventual 7-1 win over Celtic, The 25-year-old is now the second player to score in each of the first five group games of a Champions league season in the current format (since 2003/2004), after Cristiano Ronaldo who also did it this season. 

 After playing out a 0-0 draw at Juventus yesterday, Barcelona have now recorded goalless draws in back-to-back games in Champions League for the first time ever. 



 A 7-1 win over Scottish Premiership side Celtic means, French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain have scored more goals (24)  in a single Champions League group stage than any other side ever.

Willian Borges da Silva made his 200th appearance in all competitions for Chelsea yesterday( vs FK Qarabag) and also scored twice in a Champions League game for the Blues for the first time.

On This Day In 2007, Cristiano Ronaldo's late strike(a free-kick) gave Manchester United a 2-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon(Ronaldo's former club)  to ensure they finish top of Group F in the UEFA Champions League. On This Day In 2008, Filippo Inzaghi struck a late equaliser to break Portsmouth's hearts and send AC Milan into the UEFA Cup's last 32. Ronaldinho was also on target for Milan while Younes Kaboul and Nwankwo Kanu where all on target for the Tony Adam side. The game ended 2-2. On This Day In 2011, Gary Andrew Speed's  body was found dead in the garage of his home by his wife Louise. Although the facts were not fully established, it was reported that Speed had died by suicide. It could be recalled that Speed played for the likes of Leeds United, Newcastle United, Everton, Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield United.
