 Since the start of last season, Jamie Vardy has scored 11 Premier League goals against the 'big six' - five more than any other player. The former Halifax Town striker scored with a volley in Leicester City's 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur last night. 


  After playing out a 2-2 draw with Newcastle United at the Hawthorns yesterday, West Bromwich Albion have now dropped a league-high 10 points from leading positions in the Premier League this season.

 After scoring Tottenham Hotspur's only goal in an eventual 2-1 loss to Leicester City, Harry Kane has now scored 11 goals in all competitions against Leicester City - four more than he's scored against any other side.


A 2-1 loss to Leicester City at King Power Stadium last night means, Tottenham Hotspur have now lost as many Premier League games this season as they did in the entirety of 2016/2017 season (4).

 Wayne Rooney’s hat-trick in an eventual 4-0 win over West Ham United came 2272 days since his last (10th September 2011) – the longest gap between two hat-tricks by a player in English Premier league history.

 Raheem Sterling has now scored the winning goal in the 84th minute or later in four different competitive matches for Manchester City this season, including the last three games in a row. 

 After netting the opener in a 3-0 win over Stoke City, Sadio Mane has scored his first goal in six Premier League games for Liverpool, ending his longest Premier League goal-drought with the Reds

On This Day In 2007, Cristiano Ronaldo's late strike(a free-kick) gave Manchester United a 2-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon(Ronaldo's former club)  to ensure they finish top of Group F in the UEFA Champions League. On This Day In 2008, Filippo Inzaghi struck a late equaliser to break Portsmouth's hearts and send AC Milan into the UEFA Cup's last 32. Ronaldinho was also on target for Milan while Younes Kaboul and Nwankwo Kanu where all on target for the Tony Adam side. The game ended 2-2. On This Day In 2011, Gary Andrew Speed's  body was found dead in the garage of his home by his wife Louise. Although the facts were not fully established, it was reported that Speed had died by suicide.
