ONAZI QUITS LUTHANIAN CLUB

  Onazi has left  FK Zalgiris Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has left FK Zalgiris Vilnius six months after signing for the Lithuanian club. Onazi joined Zalgiris Vilnius in February after mutually terminating his contract with Danish Superliga side SönderjyskE. However, six months after signing the one-year deal, he has parted ways with The Green-Whites. Media reports gathered that it was a mutual agreement between the two parties. The 28-year-old who hasn't played for the Super Eagles since 2018 made 26 appearances in all competitions for the club, including four in the Champions League qualifiers, where he scored a goal in the first round qualifying. Onazi also scored two times and provided one assist in 19 league games for the side. 

LOCATELLI JOINS JUVENTUS

Manuel LocatelliLocatelli has joined Juventus on a two-year loan from Sassuolo with an obligation to buy in 2023. The 23-year-old Italian was part of the Italy squad that won Euro 2020 last month, scoring twice in five games and coming on as a late substitute in the final. The deal will become a permanent transfer in June 2023 for a further three years, with a fee of up to 37.5m euros (£32m) agreed. The former AC Milan player had been linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool during this summer's transfer window Juventus missed out on the Serie A title for the first time since 2012 as they finished fourth last season and reappointed former boss Massimiliano Allegri in May after sacking Andrea Pirlo. They begin their 2021-22 Serie A season at Udinese on Sunday. Locatelli departs Sassuolo with 4 goals in 68 games.

BATSHUAYI JOINS BESKITAS, EXTENDS CHELSEA CONTRACT

Batshuayi Joins Besiktas on a sesons long loan Michy Batshuayi has joined Turkish side Besiktas on a season long loan after extending his contract with Chelsea until 2023. It is the 27-year-old's fifth loan spell since joining the Blues in 2016. Batshuayi has previously had stints with Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and two spells at Crystal Palace, where he scored two goals in 18 league appearances last season. The Belgian has not featured for Chelsea since February 2020. Turkish side Besiktas won the 2020-21 Super Lig and will feature in the Champions League. On This Day In 2003, a youthful Arsenal side turned on the style to send Wolverhampton Wanderers crashing out of the Carling Cup(known as the English League Cup, but was named Carling Cup due to sponsorship reasons) with a 5-1 win at Highbury Stadium. Jeremie Aliadiere grabbed a brace, while Nwankwo Kanu, Sylvain Wiltord and Cesc Fabregas were also on target. Aged 16 years and 212 days old, Fabregas' 88th minute strike which completed the rout made him the Gunners' youngest goalscorer of all-time. Fabregas's late goal saw him break the record that had previously stood for 21 years after Stewart Robson had scored for Arsenal as an 18-year-old back in 1982. This was the Spaniard's first goal for the Gunners. In all, Fabregas spent eight years(2003-2011) with Arsenal, netting 57 goals in 303 games. He also won two trophies during his time with the club. Happy Birthday to former Manchester United Midfielder Ryan Joseph Giggs(born Ryan Joseph Wilson) who turns 46 today. Giggs began his career with Manchester City, but joined Manchester United on his 14th birthday in 1987. He made his professional debut for the club in 1991 and spent the next 23 years in the Manchester United first team. The Welsh former international is one of only 25 players to have made over 1,000 career appearances. He is also the most decorated player in football history(he won 34 trophies at Manchester United). Giggs made 963 appearances(Manchester United's record appearance maker) for United between 1991 to 2014. He also has the second-most Premier League appearances (632). At international level, he scored 12 goals in 64 caps for Wales. He is now the manager of the Wales national team and a co-owner of English non-league side Salford City.
