On This Day In 2018, Manchester United came from behind to beat Juventus 2-1 in a UEFA Champions League Group H tie. Cristiano Ronaldo's 65th minute strike against his former club ended a drought of 20 shots and 453 minutes without a goal in the competition. This result also meant the Red Devils have won more away Champions League matches at Juventus than any other side have in the history of the competition (3). After the game, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho did an ear-cupping gesture, saying he just wanted to see how the Italian fans would react.

Abdoulaye Faye headed Bolton ahead before team-mate Kevin Davies escaped a red card for pushing Emmanuel Eboue. Anelka powered in a 25-yard screamer against his ex-club, who then pulled one back with a Gilberto Silva header. Anelka's double was his first two goals for Bolton.
