Happy Birthday to former Montepllier, Napoli, Olympique Marseille, Saint-Étienne, Nimes, Auxerre, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan and Manchester United Defender Laurent Robert Blanc who turns 54 today. Blanc spent years with French  side Montpellier where he remains the club's all-time leading goalscorer with 80 goals in 263 games. At FC Barcelona, he won three trophies, including the 1996/1997 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. With Manchester United, Blanc scored 4 times in 76 games and was a member of the Red Devils' squad who won the 2002/2003 Premier League title. Blanc represented France at U-21 youth level, winning the 1988 European U-21 Championship, his team beat Greece 3-0 in the double-legged final(first leg ended 0-0). He was named the tournament's Golden Player by UEFA. At senior the senior level, Blanc scored 16 goals in 97 caps for France. He represented the country in several international tournaments, including the 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2000 , both of which France won. On 28 June 1998, Blanc scored the first golden goal in World Cup history against Paraguay. Blanc has managed the likes of Bordeaux, France national team and Paris Saint-Germain.


He started his career with Liverpool where he made his professional debut in September 2012(vs Young Boys in the Europa League). However, he failed to earn a starting berth at Anfield, managing to score once in 21 games between 2012 to 2015.

Since making his AC Milan debut in January 2015, he has scored 24 goals in 147 games, also winning the 2016 Supercoppa Italiana.

The midfielder has represented Spain at U-17, U-18, U-19, U-20 and U-21 level. In 2012, he started every game during the 2012 U-19 European Championships, where he won his first international honour.  He was also captain of the Spain under-20 side that competed in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, losing 1-0 to Uruguay in the quarterfinals. He has earned 5 caps since making his senior international debut for Spain in November 2017

Jesús Joaquín Fernández Sáenz de la Torre, commonly known as "Suso" is 26 today.

  Onazi has left  FK Zalgiris Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has left FK Zalgiris Vilnius six months after signing for the Lithuanian club. Onazi joined Zalgiris Vilnius in February after mutually terminating his contract with Danish Superliga side SönderjyskE. However, six months after signing the one-year deal, he has parted ways with The Green-Whites. Media reports gathered that it was a mutual agreement between the two parties. The 28-year-old who hasn't played for the Super Eagles since 2018 made 26 appearances in all competitions for the club, including four in the Champions League qualifiers, where he scored a goal in the first round qualifying. Onazi also scored two times and provided one assist in 19 league games for the side.

Happy Birthday to former Tottenham Hotspur, AS Monaco, Swindon Town and Chelsea Midfielder Glenn Hoddle who turns 62 today. He scored 110 goals in 490 games for Spurs between 1975 to 1987, winning four trophies, including the 1983/1984 UEFA Cup. At international level, he scored 8 goals in 53 caps for England and also represented the Three Lions at four different tournaments(1982 and 1986 FIFA World Cup, 1980 and 1988 European Championship). In June 1993, Hoddle became player-manager of Chelsea (he retired from the playing side in 1995), going on to finished as runners-up at 1993/1994 FA Cup final where Chelsea lost 0-4 to eventual winners Manchester United. As England manager, Hoddle reached the 1998 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 where the Three Lions lost 4-3 on penalties to Argentina(regulation time ended 2-2).
