THE BIRTHDAY SHOW

With 155 goals in 718 games, he is Manchester United's 10th highest goalscorer of all-time and is ranked third on the list of players with the most appearances for the club. In two spells with the Red Devils(1993-2011, 2012-2013), he won a total of 26 trophies, making him the third most decorated player in British football history.

At international level, the midfielder scored 14 goals in 66 caps for England between May 1997 to June 2004. He is the joint 29th most capped England player of all-time

In February 2019, he was appointed manager of English League Two club Oldham Athletic. He resigned as manager of the club in March 2019, having won once in his seven games, following interference from club owner Abdallah Lemsagam in first team affairs. He is currently the co-owner of English non-league club Salford City(he owns 10% of the club's proceeds).

Paul Scholes is 45 today.

He played as a midfielder for the likes AS Nancy, Sporting CP, Coventry City, Deportivo La Coruna, Aston Villa, Espanyol, Emirates Club, FC Saarbrücken and Fola Esch in a career which lasted for 19 years.

At AS Nancy, he scored 98 goals in 243 league appearances for the club.

He scored 12 goals in 63 caps for Morocco, also participating in the 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cups. He was crowned African Footballer of the Year in 1998, ahead of Austin Jay-Jay Okocha and Sunday Oliseh.

He currently works as manager of the Moroccan national team, a position he has held since 2015.

Mustapha Hadji is 48 today.

At Stoke City(1980-1988), he scored 7 goals in 211 games.

He spent 11 years(1988-1999) with Arsenal where he won nine trophies, also netting 8 goals in 372 games for the Gunners.

Despite forming part of one of the most secure top-flight defences of the late 1980s and early to mid-1990s, he won only two caps for England, far fewer than fellow centre half Tony Adams, and didn't make his first full international appearance until the age of 31. Both caps came in 1994(vs Norway and Greece, all international friendlies) under Terry Venables

He was Arsenal's Assistant manager(under Arsene Wenger) between 2012 to 2019. In June 2019, he became Arsenal U-23 manager after swapping jobs with Freddie Ljungberg in a major restructuring of the club's coaching staff.

Stephen Andrew Bould is 57 today.

Happy Birthday to former Sport União Sintrense and Benefica Right-back Nélson Cabral Semedo who turns 26 today.
