Happy Birthday to Bayern Munich winger Alphonso Boyle Davies who turns 18 today. After joining Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Davies signed with Whitecaps FC 2(Vancouver Whitecaps reserve team) in the United Soccer League on February 23, 2016. At the time of his signing, he became the youngest player signed to a USL contract at 15 years, 3 months. He scored his first professional goal for the club on May 15, 2016, making him the youngest goal scorer in USL history at 15 years, 6 months. On July 15, 2016, Davies signed a first team contract with the Vancouver Whitecaps. At the time of his signing, he was the youngest active player in Major League Soccer, and the third youngest player to have signed an MLS contract. Davies made his MLS debut on July 16, 2016, becoming the second youngest player to play in MLS, behind Freddy Adu. In September 2016, Davies became the second youngest starter in MLS history when he started a game against the Colorado Rapids. He joined Bayern Munich in January 2019. The base fee for the transfer is US$13.5 million, with performance-related bonuses that total $22 million, a then-record for MLS, later eclipsed by the transfer of Miguel Almiron to Newcastle United. He scored his first goal for Bayern on March 17 2019, netting the final goal in a 6–0 rout of Mainz 05. In doing so, and at the age of 18 years, 4 months and 15 days, he became the youngest player since Roque Santa Cruz, twenty years prior, to score for the club. He also became the first Canadian international to score for the club. Born in Ghana to Liberian parents, Davies has represented Canada at the U-17 and U-20 youth levels. In June 2017 he made his senior debut for Canada in a 2-1 win over Curaçao making him the youngest player to play for the national team(still only 16). On June 27 2019, Davies was named in Canada's final 23-man squad for the 2017 Gold Cup. In Canada's first match of that tournament, Davies scored twice in a 4–2 victory over French Guiana, making him the youngest goalscorer in Gold Cup history.

Happy Birthday to former FK Partizan, Fiorentina, Manchester City and Inter Milan striker Stevan Jovetić who turns 30 today. He spent a better of his career with Fiorentina where he scored 40 goals 135 games. He scored 11 goals in 44 appearance for Manchester City, winning two trophies, including the 2013/2014 Premier League title. At the international level, Jovetić has scored 24 goals in 51 games for Montenegro, making him country's all-time leading goalscorer. He is also the captain of the team. Jovetić currently plays for AS Monaco.

Nicknamed "Tota" , played for a number of clubs in South America and Europe, including Plaza Colonia, Club Nacional de Football, São Paulo , Fenerbahçe , Paris Saint-Germain , Malaga and West Bromwich Albion, before finishing his career with a second spell at Brazilian club São Paulo, where he now works as an administrator.

He earned 95 caps for the Uruguay national team, captaining his country at two FIFA World Cups. He was named best captain at the 2010 tournament.
