Happy Birthday to former Red Star Belgrade, Spartak Moscow, Manchester United and Inter Milan Defender Nemanja Vidić who turns 38 today. At Manchester United, he formed a strong defensive partnership with Rio Ferdinand, conceding a little number of goals, especially in the 2008–09 season where they helped United to a record-breaking run of 14 consecutive clean sheets with Vidic clinching the
Premier League Player of the Season award. In all, he scored 21 goals in 300 games for United, winning 15 trophies as well. He was named Manchester United team captain at the start of 2010–11 season. His captaincy ran over the course of three seasons, until his departure in July 2014. At international level, he scored twice and in 56 caps for Serbia. Vidic announced his retirement from football on 29 January 2016.
