THE STORY OF WHY ALWAYS ME
On This Day In 2011, Mario Balotelli and Edin Džeko both scored twice each as Manchester City humbled 10-man Manchester United(Johnny Evans was sent off in the 47th minute) in the 6-1 in a Manchester derby played at Old Trafford. This was the Red Devils worst home defeat since February 1955(Manchester City were also the victors on that occasion). It was the first time United had conceded six goals at Old Trafford since 1930, when Huddersfield won 6-0 and Newcastle 7-4 within four days of each other. Notably, Balotelli celebrated his first goal of the game by lifting his shirt to reveal the now famous question, "Why Always Me", seemingly relishing the unique, attention-grabbing approach he took to life on and off the pitch.
